Joe Magyer is the Founder and Managing Partner of Seaplane Ventures. He is also the host of Investing in Startups, a podcast dedicated to the craft of early stage investing.

Joe was a full-time angel investor before launching Seaplane Ventures in 2022. He is a 2nd-time investment firm founder having co-founded Lakehouse Capital in Sydney, Australia in 2016. Joe managed close to A$1 billion at Lakehouse and served as its Chief Investment Officer before stepping back in October 2021 to return to the US and settle in Austin, TX. He has been called a "legend" by Livewire Markets, is a two-time member of The Motley Fool's Hall of Fame, and was twice recognized as a finalist for Money Management's Fund Manager of the Year Awards. A sought after expert and speaker, Joe has made appearances on numerous panels and podcasts over the years as well as the likes of ABC, CNN, CNBC, and Bloomberg.
